During his legal career spanning over 26 years, Chuck has guided clients through numerous multi-million dollar real property and commercial transactions and handled dozens of land use matters. In addition to work as a wine industry attorney, Chuck has mediated more than 350 real estate, land use, and business conflicts.
During law school at U.C. Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law, Chuck externed with California Supreme Court Justice Mathew O. Trobiner. After graduation, Chuck was an associate at Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco before joining Dickenson, Peatman & Fogarty in Napa where he was a partner before founding MLG in 1989. Chuck has served as President (and board member) of the Napa County Mental Health Association, Napa Valley Unified Education Foundation, Napa Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees, St. Helena Chamber of Commerce, the St. Helena Rotary Club and the St. Helena Rotary Foundation. Chuck and Sheri Meibeyer were married on August 8, 2008 (at 8:08 p.m.). Chuck has three children from a previous marriage. His older daughter, Coty, recently graduated from the University of Michigan Law School and is now practicing as a public defender for the State of Kentucky. His son, Leland, just finished his third year at the University of Pennsylvania. His younger daughter, Melissa, is a student at Napa Valley College. |
